Tumbleweed Country Kennels is the most comfortable and special place for dogs in the Fountain, Colorado Springs, and Pueblo areas! Lucky pups will have private accommodations, individualized care, raised beds with comfy bedding and a team of loving well-trained staff to take care of them.  We take pets from all different walks of life, many who have been turned away from other facilities due to breed, fear, temperament, or inability to pass an assessment.  We believe it is our job to access your pet as an individual and see what they need from us and how we adjust to their needs versus trying to make them fit into a group.  Each pet is provided individualized care, we do not provide group play activities, for the safety of your pet(s) and our team.  Sibling’s can always be together unless otherwise stated.  Even though we do not provide group activities, your pup(s) will get plenty of exercise and outside time.  Weather permitting, we like to have the dogs outside for 6-8 hours per day in three different rotations throughout the day, we closely monitor the temperature, age, and breed of the dogs and react accordingly.  Your pup(s) will have neighbors on each side of them so they will be able to visit through the fence, we monitor to ensure everyone is getting along.  We also have additional enrichment activities that can be added on to any reservation, for an additional cost, such as playtimes and walks.  These activities are individual and are one on one with one of our kennel attendants, during this time they will customize your pets time to their likes, whether is playing ball, chasing toys, or just exploring, they will get pictures taken and you will receive a report card at then end of the day.  We set on almost 5 acres, so we have lots of room to have fun and spend time outside taking in all of the fresh air.  Your pup(s) will get tons of interaction from our team throughout the day, as we do not have the guillotine style doors in their kennels, so our team is taking each pet outside to their private outside run and back to their private inside kennel, for each rotation outside.  Let us know if you would like a tour, we are always happy to show you around and answer any questions you may have.

We’re open Monday through Saturday from 7am-5pm. We are closed on Sundays. Please feel free to drop your pets off anytime between 7am-4pm, pickups are anytime between 7am-5pm.
